It's amazing what half a second can do. I went from, "What the hell is this Sith typ--" to, "Holy S*%&!!! That's Vader in dark armor designed for scouting?" I just have to say this one time since it's my first Darth Vader comment: This art is impressive. Most impressive.
....My only thing here is that the circuitry on the top of his helmet looks kinda out of place. Personally, I would have left the almost hood-shaped part. Other than that, this is a bloody fantastic alternate uniform for him.
I love this. Vader in his work outfit. It takes you right into the part of the mythos that the official canon will NEVER do more than hint at. The tactical armor is bad ass, and I like that you thought to cover the control panel, or life support monitor, or whatever the hell that thing on his chest is supposed to be. Hard enough to sneak up on a Jedi master without you look like Satan's Christmas tree. The only thing i would change at all, at all, is the helmet, which is maybe maybe too abreviated? I think maybe it would look more like a standard ST helmet, but with the vader face mask. The helmet I picked for my Reach avatar would be perfect (totally why I picked it). I just feel like all that shit on the top of his head is probably delicate electronics, or something his medical droid would rather he didn't get dirt and carbon scoring in. For some reason, I think my favorite single thing is the tabbard with the imperial logo, it's just perfect. The perfect touch. I don't know if you did this on purpose, but the way the tabbard hangs (that would normally be the gap in his robe, where his belt holds it open), totally makes my eye want to add the robe and cape in the negative space around him. Wicked cool. Wow, I'm really high.
After spending some time with Starkiller, Lord Vader realized that his apprentices style was way cooler than his own. So he killed him, got himself a new outfit and the whole rebel alliance waved the white flag on sight of him.
